 VEX-IQ tyro courses

This is an innovation class where students from various background and diversity will learn how to create solutions to real world challenges. We will be using VEX IQ for content delivery. This course will develop student’s problem solving skills, technical skills, and creativity. Students will work in teams and utilize everyone’s strength to complete the daily activity challenge. Prepare for loads of fun and hands-on building opportunities. 

ROBOTMESH Studio courses

VEX 3D integration platform / VR simulation / Multilingual Seamless Programming 

Maximum 8 students.

Meeting Location - Meeting Location - PYP Reception (Gr. 5) MYP fireplace (Gr. 6 & 7)

Parent’s pickup Location – DP Building, Idea Lab

Clubs will run for the following Tuesdays in term 3: (11 Weeks)

March 31, April 7, April 14, April 21, April 28, May 5, May 12, May 19, May 26, June 2, June 9

* bring a notebook + a labtop 

* student must be currently enrolled in Stratford Hall

Program outcome:

  1. a basic ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering and computer programming using Python.

  2. an ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data

  3. a basic ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints utilizing VEX-IQ tools and sensors

  4. a basic ability to function on multidisciplinary teams

  5. a basic ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems

  6. a basic ability to communicate effectively

  7. the broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, environmental, and societal context
